Sphynx cat
Throughout history there have been some documented hairless cats cases, altough current sphynx cat emerges in Canada in the mid-sixties due to a spontaneous mutation.
While attempting to cross it was determined that the mutation was caused by a recessive gene, and finally that line did not produce viable descendants.
Both the mid and late seventies, there emerge again hairless cats, from whose descendants, and by crossing and selection with Devon Rex short hair especially by breeders come the current spnynx cats.
